John J. Segner learned the art of jewelry repair while overcoming polio as a young man. His strength, determination, and talent led him to open his first store in 1937, creating a place where neighbors could find beautiful pieces and trusted craftsmanship. With his wife Vernell by his side, John became known as “the man who could fix anything” — and Vernell’s warm spirit made every customer feel like family.

A Legacy Passed Down

Their son Sammy Segner grew up learning from the best — watching his parents serve the community with honesty and heart. Sammy and his daughter, Jennifer, proudly began operating Segner’s Jewelers on Main Street in Fredericksburg. Together, they carried forward the family’s commitment to quality, personal service, and timeless design.

Through every engagement ring, anniversary gift, or custom creation, Sammy and Jennifer built lasting relationships — the kind only a true hometown jeweler can offer.

Today, Segner’s Jewelers continues to honor that proud tradition. With two locations — our flagship store in Fredericksburg and a second store in Bee Cave — our team remains dedicated to offering fine jewelry, custom design, in-house repair, and heirloom restoration with the same care and craftsmanship that began in 1937.
